Le Corbusier was born Charles Edouard Jeanneret-Grin in Switzerland in 1887. In 1912, after working for an architectural firm, in Paris, he taught design in Switzerland. He was a member of the Congres Internationaux d Architecture Moderne where he was considered to be the leading architect of that time. His willingness to totally rethink existing conventions resulted in forms which were both functional and aesthetically pleasing. His chairs are now recognized as landmarks in the history of design.

Materials & Features

The Italian leather chaise is set against a tubular bow-shaped steel frame supported by a black steel base. This enduring design classic has the ability to move on the base from upright to full recline with complete ease and allows you to relax in perfect comfort.

The tubular bow shaped frame has been constructed of stainless steel ensuring a high quality mirror shine and a frame that will never rust or chip unlike chrome plated frames. The black powder coated base is also made of high grade steel. Only top grain Italian leather is used on the cushions for a soft buttery finish.
